Children's Story Time

Join us every Thursday for story time and a small craft. This program is often geared towards toddlers-5yrs.

 

Early-out Wednesday after school programming

We have partnered with the Linn County Master Gardner Program.  This spring the kids will be planning, planting and growing a garden of their own.  Join us on early-out Wednesdays at 2:30pm.

You're invited to listen and learn about some interesting ideas for planting on slopes and get creative with fun ideas for spill gardens.

April 8  Gardening 101 with Phil Pfister

Gardening 101 is a review of the basics, including vegetable gardening, mulches, lawn care, managing insect pests and seasonal tasks.  In this presentation, LCMG Phil Pfister will cover a wide range of topics that will help you achieve a successful yard and garden.

April 15 Cottage Gardening in Iowa Melanie Smith

From the history of cottage gardens to what plants you can use in Iowa to make your own little cottage garden.

April 22 Let's Grow Natives Beula Dvorak

A program on native plants- How and why to grow them and some of our favorites.
